Depulvera®
Depulvera® is an automatic book cleaning system, designed to remove dust from external surfaces safely and efficiently. In a single pass, it allows for uniform dusting without damaging the book, operating directly on the shelf thanks to its mobile configuration.
Key features of Depulvera®
Depulvera® is based on conservation principles applied in libraries and archives, where dust accumulates mainly on the external surfaces of books, particularly on the top edge, which accounts for around 60% of the dust.
The system dusts automatically and non-invasively, avoiding the spine and ensuring uniform external dust removal. The machine requires two operators and allows continuous operation at up to 12 books per minute, making it particularly suitable for handling large quantities of volumes.
The mobile configuration allows operation directly on the shelves, avoiding the need to move the books. The open system is managed via HEPA filtration, ensuring safe working conditions for operators and workspaces.
Depulvera® is particularly suitable for large libraries and repositories, where rapid and continuous intervention is required on extensive collections. For daily cleaning, Pulvisina, with its more compact design, can be used, whilst for internal cleaning between the pages, Spirabilia is required, designed for manual and more delicate operations.
